CITY, ILLINOIS PRIMARY GROUP EXERCISE CERTIFICATION Class Information
For the aspiring and experienced fitness professional working one-on-one with exercise clients, this three-day CITY, ILLINOIS PRIMARY GROUP EXERCISE CERTIFICATION workshop includes lectures, practical demonstration and both written and practical exams. It covers exercise physiology, anatomy, kinesiology and injury prevention. The course also includes fitness assessment testing procedures
(3-minute step test, sit-and-reach, push-up/abdominal crunch, body composition screening with skin-fold caliper measurements), nutrition fundamentals and weight management, special populations and medical considerations, communication skills,
leadership and motivational coaching, exercise programming in the weight room, and wellness programming and riskfactor assessment guidelines. The course objectives are consistent with those of the National Board of Fitness Examiners. Although this course will help prepare you for both AFAA's PRIMARY GROUP EXERCISE CERTIFICATION and the Personal Fitness Trainer National Boards, successful completion of the course does not guarantee you will pass either examination.

Prerequisites For The CITY, ILLINOIS PRIMARY GROUP EXERCISE CERTIFICATION: Personal Fitness Training: Theory and Practice ($59+ shipping) is the required text for this workshop and is not included in the regular price. Current CPR required before certification is issued. Weight training/weight room experience is recommended. Early registration and pre-study is suggested.
